Where to work and live in Phnom penh Cambodia

Where to work and live in Phnom penh Cambodia.?
I asked this question before, but did not fill enough detail out. Therefore not receiving accurate answers. My situation is, i live in America born and raised, and am working to looking to live in a different country. I have chosen phnom penh as my desired area. I am looking to live as cheaply as possible, until i have enough to save up. My question is, What jobs can i get with out a degree to have enough to live on food and rent wise, i don't need luxuries. (I hear Americans travel there all the time, love it and end up working for a small business to stay for about a year or less) I do not want a fancy place to rent out either I've been through alot so i can basically live outside. I need websites with dirt cheap places to rent out, and advice on getting a job upon traveling there with nothing but some money to hold me until i obtain a job. I hear you can live on $200.00 USD a month. Something like this is what im looking for. So please feel free to post the wost of the worst places. I am willing to do so until i can make more money. So if you can answer these questions as asked it will greatly help me out, thank you very much.

whoa cambodia. it is one of the most dangerous countries in asia. but if you insist heres a link http://www.mondinion.com/Apartments_for_Sale/country/Cambodia/ its is cheap to live there because its a third world country thats still developing and recovering from the recent genocide a couple years back. my advice is to not get to audacious. things can get dangerous.

I've spent over a year in Cambodia and not once was faced with violent crime, although I did see two local women duking it out in the market once. A few years ago anyone with a pulse and a degree could get a teaching job. Now word has got around and there are hundreds of foreigners flying in with the idea that they can enjoy the sun and teach to cover expenses. The schools can pick and chose, so you must have cred.

Cambodia Visa Extensions

Cambodia Visa Extensions?
Just curious from anyone that might know. I have questions about visa in cambodia.. I am A US citizen. I want to move to cambodia but I do not want to be a citizen, and do not want to marry a girl from there to live there. I was thinking if there is a way to live in Cambodia and not be retired. Also I hear that the visa is only good for 30 days? Are we able to do border runs to Thailand every month. How many time can you do this before they stop you and you have to leave for long term? I will be flying there at first but just want to stay in the country for a few years, if not longer. Also what do you need to do to get a Business visa? thanks

Maybe if you get in touch with a volunteer organization, they would know how to do this. A lot of people volunteer for free in Cambodia-- it's not a work-visa thing-- and they stay extended periods of time. One organization that I know of is Helping Hands Cambodia-- maybe Google them. Can you answer mine before it expires? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlfJiZwUoL.vUABUaJnj.8bty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100420180452AAWwb39

how do I build a well water filter

how do I build a well water filter?
I live in Cambodia and my ground pump has a lot of pressure but the water is high in iron and is a very red color. I do not need to purify for drinking water - only for other home uses without the red color.

Greensand (Adsorptive/Oxidative) Filtration One of the first types of filters to be used to treat water was the "greensand" filter. The active material in "greensand" is glauconite. Glauconite is a green clay mineral that contains iron and has ion exchange properties. Glauconite often occurs mixed with other material as small pellets, thus the name "greensand." The glauconite is mined, washed, screened, and treated with various chemicals to produce a durable greenish-black product that has properties that allow it to adsorb soluble iron and manganese. As water is passed through the filter, soluble iron and manganese are pulled from solution and later react to form insoluble iron and manganese. Insoluble iron and manganese will build up in the greensand filter and must be removed by backwashing. Backwashing should be done regularly twice a week or as recommended by the manufacturer. Eventually the greensand must also be regenerated by washing with a permanganate solution. Regeneration will leave the greensand grains coated once again with a manganese material that adsorbs soluble iron and manganese. Frequency of regeneration will depend on the level of iron, manganese, and oxygen in the water and the size of the filter. The manufacturer's recommendations should be followed. Most greensand filters are rated to be effective treating water with iron concentrations up to 10 ppm. Because some greensand filters are not rated this high, the manufacturer's recommendations should always be checked. The acidity or pH of the water will influence the ability of the filter to remove both iron and manganese. If the pH of the water is lower than 6.8, the greensand will probably not adequately filter out the iron and manganese. The pH can be raised above 7.0 by running the water through a calcite filter. Regular backwashing is essential for effective filter performance and require flow rates that are often three to four times the normal household useage rate. A backwash rate of about eight gpm/square foot of filter bed is recommended. If the household system cannot support the needed flowrate for adequate backwashing, poor filter performance and failure are likely.
