Do tigers live in Africa

Do tigers live in Africa?
I was just watching sci-fi's Destination Truth and they went to Cambodia to look for an ape-man. While they were there they caught something on their thermal imaging camera. After analyzing it, they said it could have been a tiger. This caught my attention but I figured it was just a mistake and they meant lion. But then at the end of the show they had an expert analyze the thermal camera footage and he said it was "Probably a tiger". Do tigers live in Africa or are the people on Destination Truth just ignorant?

1 :
No, only in zoos.
2 :
No tigers live in Asia ..if they lived in Africa there would be too little food for the lions and it would create a chain reaction causing some species to become extinct.
3 :
I think they do :) i saw a documentaryy on protecting the tiger and they brought two to africa....no idea if the project succeed though I hope it did :) sorry for my poor spelling lol and sorry i cannot remember the name of the documentary :(
4 :
No tigers live in India and other parts of Asia, no where close to Africa. The only place you would find a tiger in africa would be in some type of zoo.
5 :
Cambodia is actually a country in southeast Asia so it probably was a tiger. Tigers only live in Asian countries.
6 :
Naturally, no. However, some tigers (like 3? Can't recall, very small number) have been introduced to and rehabilitated on a large game reserve in southern Africa, where they run free and hunt as they please. The short answer is definitely NO though But the real problem here is that Cambodia is in ASIA
7 :
It's not the people who are on Destination Truth who are ignorant. In re your question, tigers no longer exist in the wild state in Africa. They did at one time.
8 :
No tigers are from Asia not Africa.

Is it illegal to travel to another country to solicit a prostitute in a country where prostitution is legal

Is it illegal to travel to another country to solicit a prostitute in a country where prostitution is legal?
I live in New Zealand and Prostitution is legal here, it is governed by some big organisation to keep it safe and clean though. Anyway is it illegal for someone from the united states to travel to NZ and subsequently solicit a prostitute. I know its illegal for americans to do this in cambodia and thailand and such because thats illegal in those 3 countries. But what about if its not illegal in the country they traveled to?

My cousin used to do it all the time in Amsterdam, he said no problem
2 :
not realy
3 :
When in Rome do as the Romans do.
4 :
No... It's not illegal. We even have legal prostitution in Nevada. It is illegal for Americans to buy trade restricted items such as Cuban cigars, thereby financing an enemy of the USA when overseas. But, this is seldom, if ever, enforced. Otherwise... the law of the land is the law.
5 :
yes you go by the laws of the country, like the drinking age in Australia is 18 but in most US states its 21, so an Australian in the USA can't buy beer until they are 21 even though back home they can at 18
6 :
You are bound by the laws of the country you are visiting.
7 :
An American traveling abroad is bound by the laws of the country he/she is in. Traveling from USA to New Zealand is an expensive way to get you know what. You could find a better use for the money.
8 :
Why even go down that road I don't know. Respect your body
9 :
Yes, read US Travel laws...It is illegal as you are bound by the laws of this country. You may not get caught over there, big brother is always watching.
10 :
prostitution is illegal in Cambodia and Thailand and regardless of the legality in your own country it would be illegal for you to hire a prostitute there. When prostitution is legal in the locality that you are visiting, then it is legal for you to hire a prostitute regardless of the legality in your home country. So yes, an American visiting NZ can hire a prostitute there and not get in trouble with the law if it is legal to do so. You are subject to the laws of the place you are visiting, not the laws of your own country. If you break a law in Cambodia or Thailand and you are from NZ or America, then you have to face the legal authorities and judicial system of the host country NOT your home country. An American visiting NZ is subject to the laws of NZ while in that country. A citizen of NZ is subject to the laws of America while visiting that country.
11 :
As long as you shag the purchase in said Country, thus breaking no law. Neither are you breaking the law in the Country you travelled from, as no shagging was done there, nor a purchase made.
12 :
Purely from a legal standpoint, and setting aside the morality issues, there is no legislation that forbids foreign or overseas visitors from soliciting prostitutes in New Zealand. A very good PDF files about the Prostitution laws in New Zealand can be found by clicking the link in the sources below.
13 :
Um, no, duh! You answered your own question!

I need info on Cambodia

I need info on Cambodia?
I have a few questions about Cambodia. Please answer and post a cite name. How is knowledge passed from one generation to the next in Cambodia? How is the quality of life in Cambodia? What groups have high/low status? Taboos- What behavior is totally unacceptable? Do most people live in city or the countryside? What do people do for fun? What are the sports? In Cambodia, how do people take care of cooking, shopping, washing clothes, etc. What does the typical family eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? What food is Cambodia known for?

Hi, I have been in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia for more than half a year. Cambodia have their own schools and uni nowadays, as well as foreign institutes. You can find shopping malls and supermarkets popping up all over the places with the increase in influx of foreigners and foreign investments. There is even a casino in town, as well as numerous others in the rest of teh boder towns. Most of the people living in town are more or less reasonably well off. Of couse there are those of very high income and those who are earning USD 50-100 per mth. The range difference is actually quite big. The staple food of Cambodians is rice, of which their country produce in abundance, and peppercorn, which are exported to the rest of teh world. Cambodia is a big country, and there are various towns and cities all over the country. As the country only has a small stretch facing the sea, seafood is not that common on teh menu. Most of the locals of cousre depends on the river for their fish & clams & prawns. Clams are actually a common sight in markets, and sold commonly along the streets as well. There are actually a few exotic delicacies like deep fried insects, spiders, snakes, sparrows that are sold openly on the streets by the weight. And one of Cambodians' favourite are the steamed duck eggs, which contain unborn partially formed ducklings within the shells. Other than that, the local Cambodian restaurants often have bbq meats of all types. Hopes this helps if you are planning to visit Cambodia. I've also been to Siem Reap to visit the ancient Ang Kor Wat temples located at the northern part of the country and also Sihanuokville and KEP National Park, down the southern tip of Cambodia. Do your research before coming. I find the lonely planet travel guide book for Cambodia quite useful before coming over. Good luck
