Living on this amount in Cambodia

Living on this amount in Cambodia?
Hello, In February until March I am going to travel to Cambodia. I have my hotel booked and as stated above. I will stay one month. I am on a limited budget, Having only $ 439.00 USD to spend exactly. But I am not by any means a picky eater, Or one to rely upon material goods. I am more one to rely upon NEEDS Rather then WANTS. And im not looking To buy any memoirs or anything to take home. Finally, my question is will I be able to survive on $439.00 USD For a whole month stay? Again I do indeed have a hotel reserved. Thank you and I will vote for best answer.

You can get by on $14 or $15 per day. However, all you'll do is get by.

Hmm, you sure won't have much fun with that kind of cash

The average budget for Cambodia is between $15 - $20us per day. This barely covers guest house accommodation and food. It does not include transportation. If you have already payed for your accom then you can get away with spending alot less if eating from the street carts but do remember a months visa cost $20us. Basically you will be traveling so skint there would be little you can do for a month without the chance of relocating and experiencing something new such as siem reap and the capital, phnom penh. Angkor Wat is a must see, but there is a charge of $20us for a days pass to the temples of Angkor. I suggest cut your travel time down and increase your expenditures and make your trip worth while. This is all based on experience. To add you are going at the begining of the hot season and beleave when i say it gets very hot and very muggy with 40+ temperatures in peak season. You will need to purchase alot of bottled water, some insect repellent and dont bother to much about sun screen as it will only sweat off and gather red dust. Wear light cotton shorts and a light coloured cotton short sleave shirt, jandles and a hat. Coconut milk is the best way for rehydration, your body will use more energy rehydrating off cold water in such temeratures.

i am telling you, i went there this past summer, it is really inexpensive. food for a day will come in under like 10$ transportation via TUK TUK, those bikes that drag you around on a thing or whatever are like 1 to 2$ depending on where you go but you have to bargain with them. all you need is food really.
